Weekend Eats BOOK. CROWDFUNDING

Weekend Eats BOOK. CROWDFUNDING

There is something very special about weekends. When Friday comes you know that dinner in the evening will be longer, slower, and more memorable. Then comes Saturday and Sunday mornings with coffee in bed, pancakes and waffles, maybe some Croque monsieur later than usually. Friends come over for uncountable hours of dinner. Occasionally it is an early dinner appetizer followed by a very hearty dinner when winter and something light when summer. It is all about the special dishes, long hours roasted pork, butter-poached fish, luscious chocolate cake or a special double portion ice cream freshly made that day. No one counts calories those days, only memories. The dinner making is a process for the whole family. Some whisk the eggs for the cake, some roll out pasta, and some pack them neatly in the shape of the day.

I have already published 11 books. Most of them with my recipes, some - with heritage from grandmothers, grandfathers, and a book with 100 cakes collected from Latvians. It has been four years without a big book and two years without a small one, something I have been missing so much. The process of creating. Deciding on which recipe to include, how to serve, how the picture will look like, and with which wine it will be served with. Never-ending passion and love for every step of the process.
