Because in food I trust. In all forms and shapes.

Outerlands

Outerlands

Outerlands is no secret to local foodies. We experienced it from many angles - from a romantic breakfast to afternoon cocktails and Sunday lunch with kids, and at no time have I had any regrets (only that I have not had more time to stay there). In 8 years, it has grown from a small cafe with 20 seats to a twice-as-big restaurant, but still bearing the same charm as before. The produce is still local, ricotta is homemade, and bacon comes from a farm close by. Except for the interior, not a thing has changed: you get there, write your name on the board outside to book a table, order your drink, and wait. Waiting has never been as good as it is at Outerlands, where people chat while drinking their morning coffee or a Saturday glass of wine. But the philosophy is what strikes me the most: “We are committed to an exploration of small business as a powerful means to connect personally and creatively with our larger community,” states their website, and it is true. The community loves them, as does everyone who goes there. The experience there is beyond magical, as every bite is how bites should be – respectful, local, and tasty.
