Arsicault Bakery

Arsicault Bakery

There was a time when Tartine took the prize in the best croissant in the city, but that is not the case anymore: croissant freaks now head to the one and only Arsicault. Saturdays come with long lines (but they move fast) and the farmers’ market around the corner. The croissant just melts in your mouth so fast that you don't even have time to appreciate all the thousand layers of dough. The same goes for every croissant they have – be it with cheese or meat or the best almond croissant I've ever eaten. Armando Lacayo handcrafts every croissant to perfection (no wonder they are considered the best croissants in the country) to the extent that while you are still eating one, you get into line for another order of croissants.
