California. Bodega Bay

California. Bodega Bay

Every time we are in Sonoma, we have one road to take – to Bodega Bay to try and see the whales but also purely for the simple thing of being there, tiny creatures in front of the giant called the ocean. When November arrives, there is one more reason to go there: on the way, you have to stop by the most famous crab places of all – Spud Point Crab and Co. Their award-winning chowder is a winner for a reason, and the sandwich is to die for, as are the crab cakes. You can have them there or wrapped up to enjoy on the bench by the ocean. The road-side there is filled with crab catching nets of all colors (every farm has its own color), boats and yachts, and signs of a possible tsunami. The cliffs offer you the views of the ocean and more cliffs, while the walk on the beach turns it all around from another angle.
