California. Timber Cove

California. Timber Cove

North from there is the most magical spot called Timber Cove – a place to stay or just visit (better to stay). The drive there is frightful as cliffs with no fences lead straight into the ocean, but it is an experience to enjoy. It is more calming to drive in fog as the sun and clear skies reveal the true height of the possible fall (that rarely happens). It is better for drivers to keep their eyes on the road. There are two ways of going back – either the same way making a stop at Salmon creek for a hike or through Jenner where, if you’re lucky, you can stop by at the local central market for freshly smoked fish to eat later on the cliffs overlooking the ocean as we did. It is a memory that will stay with us forever.
